Enjoying holidays and planning your healthy choices.

Food during the Christmas and New Year breaks can be simple and festive. Keeping salads at each meal, water jugs filled with sparkling mineral water with frozen berries as ice cubes, lime and lemon slices or cinnamon sticks with star anise, as garnishes, all look appealing as well. Simplicity can mean a barbeque with the addition of salads, nuts and fresh berry desserts. Keep it simple and enjoy family and friends. Remember to take a probiotic, incorporate digestive teas such as ginger and lemon, cinnamon and rooibos or fresh rosemary and peppermint sprigs in boiled water. This allows enjoyment of festivities without the digestive issues and without the stress. Take 15 to 30 minutes each day to meditate or walk, space for yourself. Time to reflect or read a book, journal or listen to music. Plan the time and let others know this time is for you.

Stay safe and enjoy. Its with your healthy lifestyle choices and planning that make it a healthier 2022!
